Automation technology for process optimization in industrial production

With industrial automation becoming one of the most important economic sectors in Germany, the demand for integrated system solutions to cope with constantly changing markets is increasing.

In conjunction with innovative technologies, these enable continuous monitoring and optimization of processes. At this year's LogiMAT in Stuttgart, the focus will be on these. Relevant solutions for the automation and intralogistics sector will be presented here from April 25-27, 2023. Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH from Ertingen, a traditional family business from the south of Germany, will also be there.

As a strategic intralogistics partner, Lock will be presenting customized system solutions for the automation of intralogistics applications and their workstations at stand 3D71 in hall 3 at the three-day international trade fair. The southern German company operates worldwide and has been equipping its customers reliably, individually and with certified Lock solutions for 175 years. Companies with repetitive assembly and logistics processes in particular benefit enormously from this. The intralogistics solutions from Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH enable a significant increase in productivity while at the same time improving work safety and ergonomics. The automation solutions also combine advantages in the areas of workplace organization, material flow and value stream design. As a result, the introduction of this automation technology also reduces operating costs and raises the intralogistics of any company to a new level of efficiency. In this way, Lock customers achieve a decisive competitive advantage.

The advantages at a glance

Lock experts inspect the local conditions to develop and implement an optimum system solution in line with customer requirements. Depending on requirements, a significant reduction in assembly times of more than 30% can be achieved in the area of workplace organization through measures such as the separation of value creation and logistics and the optimum provision of tools and materials. By viewing the material flow as visual management or reducing the range of parts, stocks can be significantly reduced by up to 50%. Achieving an efficient material flow also means easier operation, maximum availability and a high storage density. To increase delivery reliability, Lock's system solutions have a major influence on the value stream design. For this purpose, the critical processes or the required customer cycle must be implemented in a lean target value stream.
