Lock on the IPM

Lock starts its 180th company anniversary at the IPM - New EWA 5 series sets standards in greenhouse construction

While the IPM in Essen is celebrating its 40th anniversary, Lock GmbH can now look back on 180 years of company history.

Known for the use of its drives in greenhouse ventilation and shading systems, the Upper Swabian company is setting new quality standards with its innovative EWA 5 series. The products are characterized by high oil tightness, longevity and reliability, whereby the delivery capability has been further optimized through the use of standard components. Lock guarantees reliable operation of the electric drives even during extended downtimes and at ambient temperatures of -5°C to +60°C thanks to the special surface treatment of the motor components. The EWA 5 series can be interchanged with existing EWA models and offers a limit switch system with the tried-and-tested END20 mechanical limit switch and the optional LSC 40 control unit, which can be combined with the LPR position indicator. While the screws previously had to be tightened by hand when setting the end positions, these now only need to be approached and confirmed at the touch of a button. The programmed additional limit switch ensures a high level of system protection. By integrating the LPR, the position of the roof can be reported back and a connection to the SBE farm management system, Lock's digital control system, can be established. Lock will also be presenting the newly developed customer interaction platform myLock at the IPM on stand 3C13 in hall 3. With functions such as dashboard monitoring, an integrated customer center and an efficient download area, this offers growers a flexible solution to support their daily work.
