Data protection for applications and the application process

Thank you for your interest in our company and for your application to Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH. The protection of personal data is an important concern for us. For this reason, we process the personal data of our applicants in accordance with the applicable legal regulations for the protection of personal data and data security.

Therefore, we would like to inform you in the following about the collection, processing and use of your personal data in the context of online applications, in accordance with the relevant data protection regulations.

Categories of data used
As part of the application procedure, the controller collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of processing the application procedure. The processing may also be carried out by electronic means if the applicant submits his or her application documents by electronic means. This involves the following data:

  • Title, first name, surname, name affixes, nationality
  • E-mail address
  • Address
  • Telephone number (fixed and/or mobile)
  • Application documents (letter of application, curriculum vitae, references, certificates etc.)
  • Additional voluntary information (birthday, target annual salary, etc.)

Where necessary, we may also process data lawfully received from other offices or third parties. The same applies to personal data that can be obtained from publicly accessible sources (such as commercial register, press, Internet, social networks and other media) in a permissible manner, insofar as this data may be processed in accordance with the statutory provisions.


Purpose and legal basis of data collection, processing and use

We process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (DS-GVO), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant laws (e.g. BetrVG, ArbZG, etc.).

In the first instance, the data processing serves the purpose of carrying out the pre-contractual measure of the application procedure. The primary legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) b) DS-GVO in conjunction with Art. 26 (1) BDSG, according to which personal data may be processed if this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship.

 

Duration of data storage

Personal data will be deleted, unless there are legal retention periods. If no employment contract is concluded with the applicant, this will be the case no later than three months after completion of the application procedure. If we are unable to offer you a vacant position at the moment, and we believe that your skills may be of interest for a future job offer, we will contact you to arrange for a longer storage of your personal data. If an employment relationship is concluded with the applicant, the data transmitted will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship.

 

Who receives your data?

The collection, processing or use of your personal application data is solely for the purpose of filling vacancies at Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH. Within our company, only those persons and positions that are involved in the application process are given access to your data. Your data will not be transmitted to third parties.

 

Rights of the applicant

You have the right:

  • To request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO.
  • According to art. 16 DSGVO that your incorrect personal data be corrected and incompletely completed.
  • In accordance with Art. 17 DSGVO to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfil a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • Pursuant to Art. 18 DSGVO, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you or the processing is unlawful,

 

 Right of objection

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO, if there are reasons for doing so arising from your particular situation and if personal data are processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 DSGVO. Right of complaint

You have the possibility to address a complaint to the above mentioned data protection officer or to a data protection supervisory authority.
